Hi — How can I block someone from sending me harassing emails?

A lady who is probably mentally ill is angry at me from a list spat where she was caught posting phony pics and info. I’ve asked her to quit emailing and she won’t. She has collected info on my personal life and has retained pics of my family from the Yahoogroups list, is threatening a law suit, making things up and claims she’s coming to my city and leaves a “dot dot dot” after that statement. Ideas?

Bring it to the police. Show them, and ask them to contact her about her harassing you. Get a lawyer to send an official document telling her to stop harassing you, stalking you, slandering you, and ask for a possible restraining order or something more severe.

To stop the emails, contact her Internet Service Provider and report a TOS violation, and harassment. Also, contact your own Internet Service Provider, inform them of the situation, and ask them nicely to contact her and her ISP, and see what they can do.

change your email, and report her. go to the police if you have to. there are many psycos out there today, i wouldnt take it lightly. i wouldnt respond to her anymore, its probably just fuel to her fire.

all of the above, and you can mark her e mails as spam, but you might be better off knowing what she’s up too
