Using the Internet hasn't helped Ron Paul. He still only had about a 5% rating and 16 delegates. I wonder if he will retain his seat in the House?

name recognition will DEFINITELY work in your favor! it plays SUCH a large role amongst the many apathetic voters out there. Do you really think most people are going to go out and find out what you are about on their own time? NO! You have to tell them.

The three key parts of any election are Money, Media, and Momentum. The purpose of money is to advertise advertise advertise! The media portion acts as free advertisement. And momentum is simply effective because your name is out there more than most! If anything name recognition can be the MOST important thing (not that that is a good thing, necessarily).

All in all, if you put your heart into making sure the most people out there know who you are, you have a great chance of winning! ESPECIALLY because you are not going against the incumbent (who usually wins because, you guessed it, he has great name recognition!)
