Don't be afraid to call the union thug on being the snake oil salesman he is. When workplace deaths were high, safety standards low, and benefits non-existant, unions had their place. Now, there is little that a union CAN do other than take your dues and fatten their own wallets. I've got some union horror stories myself.... I will NEVER again belong to a union. Do some research on unions, and get the word from people who have had experiences with them.
