Do I need to buy stamps for mailing a package?

2 comments so far

I am mailing a few very small clothing items to my friend in the next state over.

I have a padded orange envelope that I’ve put the clothes in, and I have just two questions:

1) Can I just write my friend’s address right on the envelope?
2) Do I need to purchase stamps for this, or should I just go to the post office at the counter, and they will take care of it?

Take the package to the post office, they will weigh it and charge you accordingly. Don’t take any chances doing it yourself, it might get sent back to you, for incorrect postage.

Yes I would go the post office and get some help from them.
