Giving my mobile no. to an internet ‘friend’?

7 comments so far

Hey…

I’m unsure as to give my mobile number to someone I talk to online.

I’m a member of a youtube group which is like a forum for you to talk to people with similar interests.

We then started emailing and I’m part of his big emailing list.

Lots of people in the group supposedly have his mobile number.

It’s a BNP youtube group.

I’m still quite young and I’m worried that he could just be a con and then a nutter will have my phone number.

I’m pretty sure he;s OK.

Is there a way I can talk to him.

Maybe I should go out of town to a phone box and ring him. Therefore he doesn’t know my mobile number or where I was when I made the call.

How can I ‘withhold’ my number on my phone?

thanks

He wants me to text him and then he’ll give me a call.

If he gives you his number, call him, but put *67 at the beginning like *67555-555-5555. It will be withheld on his phone.

don’t do it. if you have doubts, don’t do it.
i’ve always said if you can’t meet someone eye to eye, you have NO idea what type of person they are.
its not worth it, trust me. don’t text him, don’t call him.
if you must keep him as an online friend (which isnt recommended) then only do that

This does not sound like a good idea.
I suggest you DO NOT give your number out on the internet,
Especially if it is someone you do not know.
The best idea to do, is stop talking to him altogether.
If this man is asking for your phone number you have to think:
“Oh yah, mental case right there,”
This world today is hard to trust,
    especially people on the internet.
You can never be to sure.
So PLEASE do not give your number to him.
Im going to stress the fact that he is probably a 50 year old man looking for his next victim.
    By the way,
I dont want to see your picture on tv saying that your missing tomorrow.
It would not be a good thing to give your number out.
