How do I get a mailing list for business purposes?
3 comments so farI’d like to send out mailings promoting my business, how do I get a list? I don’t want to use one of the shady online companies. I just want addresses from the areas around us. Any help?

Purchase one from a reputabler marketing firm around you. What you must be referring to are what I call ‘trunk leads’. There actually real companies out there sell legitimate mailing lists that can be targeted to your customers. There are hundreds of fields that can make a mailing list that will work best for you.
You can start with or, they also carry business directories.
For residential, you can do a reverse address search. This will give you names and addressess for the people you are targeting in your marketing.
