How to apply for another position at the same company?

4 comments so far

My cousin told me about a job at her company, I applied, but it had already been filled just a few days before. The hiring manager emailed me straight away and basically said that it was filled and she attached a list of other positions that are available. Since I will be emailing the same hiring manager at the same company, but for a different position, should I re-send a cover letter? Or just simply say that I would like to be considered for this other position?

I would do both. It will show you are interested. I would even send a thank you email for the list of other positions you received

I would resend the cover letter as long as it stated your “objective” being to fill that new position I’d also leave in the body of the email that you had applied for a previous position. I’ve had this happen to me and it worked out just fine. Good luck

That is Great she emailed you a list of positions so she liked your resume enough for that. Tell her in a Coverletter that your interested in xyz position and tell her why and why your qualified etc…then resubmit your resume with it.

Good Luck and hopefully this helps
