Where can I subscribe to a Japanese Buzzword Mailing list?

1 comment so far

It seems like every min. Japan is always coming up with a new buzzword! Like for ex. アルフォ . Sorry for I misspelled but it’s arufo means around 40 year old women that aren’t married and that are satisfied with just having a career. Is there a mailing list I can subscribe to to keep up the trend of the buzzwords! I always like to know what is going on with Japan thanks!

    It’s アラフォー, meaning “around 40″.

And it does not necessarily mean “women that aren’t married and that are satisfied with just having a career.” Everyone around 40 is アラフォー.

We have some other words like
    アラサー around 30
    アラフィフ around 50
    アラカン around 60
