		<description>You could write a Perl script to parse your emails and generate calendar events, but it wouldn't run automatically, you'd have to run it manually.  I'm including a link to the module you would need and a perlmonks question that has some code to get you started.</description>

		<description>No, it's not possible to call Perl from Outlook.  It should be possible in VB, since VB is a "native" language in MS Office.  As a starting point, try selecting the "run a script" option in Outlook's Rules Wizard.  I assume you can select a VB function there...</description>
