What should I write in a mass email informing co-workers of my name change?

2 comments so far

I need to send out an email to all my co-workers (only been with the company for 2 1/2 months so not everyone knows me) letting them know that I have changed my name (and email has changed) due to my recent marriage. What should I write? Thanks!!
I was told by my boss to send out a mass email, otherwise I would not do so…which is why I really have no clue what to write :)

I wouldn’t send out a huge e-mail since not everyone knows you. Put a message on your e-mail that will be sent to the person sending the e-mail that your name and e-mail have changed. This is an automatic response. This way anyone who would normally write you will have the information. I find it very frustrating to get a mass e-mail when I have no idea who the person is who is writing. Congratulations on the new marriage!

Hi Peanuts, Firstly congratulations on getting married! Say ” Hello, I am pretty new at XXXXX but just need to let you know some good news. I got married! Kindly note my new surname for future use.” Regards,…Peanutsss…
