Unethical- sending out a mass email with someones info?

1 comment so far

I’m part of a company that sells items and I just received an email from the person in charge saying not to sign up this one person because they are fraudulent and owe money. Then the email has the persons name (both used) social security number, address, birth date and license number. I know that this may be fraudulent info, but if some of it is correct can you actually send out a mass email with that kind of information?

It sounds like you will get sued if you do. You can’t defame anyone even if you are wronged. He must be brought before a court and then after proven guilty if you were to say he was a fraud then you would be safe but not until then.
